The Basics

We understand that you may need time off occasionally to attend medical or dental appointments. Whenever possible, we ask that these are arranged outside working hours, but if that's not possible, we’ll do our best to support you with reasonable time off.

What You Need to Do

  • Try to book appointments outside your working hours if you can.
  • If that’s not possible, aim for early morning or late afternoon slots to minimise time away.
  • Ask your manager for approval before confirming your appointment.
  • You may be asked to show an appointment card as proof.
  • Be aware that time off for appointments is usually unpaid, unless agreed otherwise by your manager.

A: Yes — your manager may request to see an appointment card.

Q: What if I feel I’ve been unfairly refused time off?
