The Basics

This policy explains how to use social media responsibly, whether you're posting personally or on behalf of the company. It protects you and the business from reputational risks, legal issues, and data breaches — and applies to all social platforms, from LinkedIn to TikTok.

What You Need to Do

  • Be respectful and responsible — don’t post anything that could harm the company or others.
  • Don’t share confidential, sensitive or personal information without clear approval.
  • Only post on behalf of the company if you're authorised and trained to do so.
  • Don’t use social media during work hours unless it’s part of your role or allowed during breaks.
  • If you’re not sure whether something is appropriate to post, ask your manager.
